Vinification:
Fresh rose petals, raspberry cane, and wild bramble, cranberries, wild strawberry, dried tangerine, fresh blood orange, cocoa nib, a hint of bergamot, and bay leaf. Fine powdery tannins with good persistence and seamless, silky length open to sweet red berry fleshy fruit with delicacy and detail of earth, spice, and cassis bramble complexity. Ripe wild raspberry, Satsuma plum, cinnamon, baking spices, and 71% cocoa powder.
94 Points - Tasting Panel
Cherries and wild mushrooms perfume the glass. Rhubarb chimes in with a broadening of pencil shavings, which give way to deep earth with spiced basil and sweet sage. Raspberries are ashy and tobacco-drenched, and acidity leads the finish toward coffee bean and cinnamon.
90 Points - Wine Enthusiast
Reduced on the nose, youthfully, the reduction blows away to reveal a fruity landscape of blueberry and blackberry that's ripe yet light. Spritzy acidity freshens a hearty body and supportive oak.
