Fresh potpourri, wild flowers, strawberry toffee with juicy red forest fruits, candied ginger, cinnamon and baking spices, with a hint of spearmint and provincial herbs. Subtle structural fruit expression of ripe round plump fruit, chocolate covered cherries, fine and firm tannins and fresh acidity. Juicy and rich mid-palate with notes of fresh rose petal, cedar sap and sweet tobacco leaf. Slight grainy tannins lead to a fine elegant finish of chocolate, creamy espresso, a hint of serano ham and toasted redwood.

		Winemaker Notes
Fruit was hand harvested at night. This Tablas Creek clone was hand sorted; clusters were all destemmed; 6 days of cold soak, gentle punch downs 1-3 times daily, 19 days on skins & gently basket pressed. Gravity fed into French oak barrels (40% new). Aged 15 months on lees, gently fined, bottled unfiltered.
