2017 Estate Rosé
Pinot Noir, Counoise and Mourvedre were picked early for the express purpose of making rosé and then whole cluster pressed. The Syrah was collected as saignee from the sorting line. All varietals were individually fermented in neutral French oak, aged sur lie for 4 months, and underwent partial malolactic fermentation. Gently fined and filtered.
Flinty and expressive with pink rose petal, wild raspberry, strawberry, hints of jasmine tea, and wild herbs.
Big juiciness balanced with a fine, silky texture. Strawberries, raspberries gives way to bramble and bright red fruit notes (cranberry, forest fruit) finishing with blood orange and a dry, fresh minerality.
