Dewey honeysuckle with cucumber lime zest, lemon curd tart, and snow pea freshness. Brilliantly fresh and bright with notes of citrus flower
Palate: Bright and minerally with Meyer lemon expressiveness. Juicy yet focused with wet, flinty slate on the mid-palate and finished with citrus blossom. Persistent yet juicy and lithe.
89 Points - The Wine Advocate
The 2017 Roussanne/Viognier reveals notes of preserved lemons, white peaches and apple pie with suggestions of fresh hay and white pepper. Medium-bodied, it has a pleasantly savory and spicy palate with plenty of zip on the finish. 84 cases produced.
The Annadel Gap Vineyard is a special place. Located between Mt. Hood and the Sonoma Mountains, our site is characterized by thick morning fog and strong afternoon winds. Alluvial, glacial, and sedimentary influences create various soil types.
The fruit was hand-harvested at night and arrived at the winery by daybreak. Varietals were kept separate; the whole cluster was pressed. Native yeast began primary fermentation in an egg-shaped vessel. Primary fermentation finished in neutral French barrels & puncheons for four months, blended and finished in stainless steel for an additional two months. Lightly fined and filtered.
