2019 Westwood "Twenty One", Proprietary Red Blend, Annadel Gap, Sonoma Valley
Honoring the twenty-first vintage from our Biodynamically certified Annadel Gap Vineyard and representative of our very best Syrah, Mourvedre, and Grenache, this is the debut of our proprietary Estate Red Blend. Twenty-One marks a milestone for our Winery and our collaboration with Philippe Melka. Unfiltered, with minimum intervention, Twenty-One shows layers of lavender, dried roses, white pepper, and savory notes, the wine is full-bodied with fine, rounded tannins and finishes with great length and explosive perfume.
94 Points - Jeb Dunnuck
Based mostly on Syrah with 14% each of Grenache and Mourvèdre, the 2019 Twenty-One Annadel Gap Vineyard Red Blend is a beautiful effort offering ample darker berry fruits, notes of cracked pepper, minty herbs, and bacon fat, medium to full body, a great mouthfeel, and ripe tannins that come through on the finish. It’s another incredibly impressive wine from this label that offers loads of pleasure, as well as being impeccably made.
