2021 Westwood Twenty-One, Proprietary Red Blend, Annadel Gap, Sonoma Valley

Honoring the twenty-first vintage from our Biodynamically certified Annadel Gap Vineyard and representative of our very best Syrah, Mourvedre, and Grenache, this is the third vintage of our proprietary Estate Red Blend. Twenty-One marks a milestone for our Winery and our collaboration with Philippe Melka. Unfiltered, with minimum intervention, Twenty-One shows layers of lavender, dried roses, white pepper, and savory notes, the wine is full-bodied with fine, rounded tannins and finishes with great length and explosive perfume.

"Westwood's Twenty One is a delicious blend of mainly Syrah with lesser amounts of Grenache and Mourvèdre. It has a classic Rhone styled profile. As this begins to unwind in the glass it releases inviting aromatics of black raspberries, plum, dark currant, black pepper, green herbs, spices and lavender all taking shape. This beautifully made red is displays wonderful elegance with a remarkable seamless quality to this wine, as it literally glides effortlessly across the palate. It continues to impress with excellent depth and precision through the gorgeous finish. While already quite appealing, this will only become more compelling with time." - International Wine Report
