"The 2021 Founders Reserve Chardonnay is a superb effort from Westwood in 2021. The fruit comes from tee Roberts Road Vineyard on the Sonoma Coast. It instantly begins with intense aromatics orchard fruits, Meyer lemon, lime, brown butter, and stone fruits along with intense mineral notes, spring flowers, crushed stones, sea spray and toasted brioche nuances that emerge from the glass. On the palate this incredibly focused, with remarkable depth, as layers of delicious flavors expand through the long mineral driven finish. This is simply great today and will flourish for years to come."
